There's been a lot going on recently but I alas we have not been keeping you up-to-date.
First of all there has been several family additions; Lisa our principle cornet and her partner Dan on solo cornet had a baby son Zach; Dave on percussion had a baby son Daniel and Emma on Flugel had a baby daughter Grace. Congratulations to all.
With the unsettled period we have decided not to take part in the area championships at Bedworth this year; but things are starting to pick up as we have taken on a new resident conductor in David Nicholson. David has got a wealth of experience both as player and band trainer at a high level in the Salvation Army. He has also been successful in bringing along several new players; we hope these players will settle down and become regular members.
We recognise that it will take time to rebuild and gain our previous high level, but the Phoenix is rising again.
